After Breakfast, Take Time Today To Explore The Charming Town Of Paro. Either Take A 3-4 Hour Trek Up Hill To Visit Famous Tiger’s Nest Temple, If Not Horses Can Be Hired To Help You Ascend Up To This Destination. Tiger Nest Perched On The Edge Of A 1,200-Meter Cliff, The Tiger Nest Monastery Is An Enthralling Sight, The Trek Has Over Steep Slopes And Dusty Paths Paved In The Forest Concluding With 700 Steps. Either Choose To Walk Or Hire A Pony (Only Till Half-Way). The Spectacular View Of Paro Will Bless Your Soul. After A Leisurely Breakfast Continue Your Ride Towards Punakha Crossing Dochula Pass. On Reaching Lobesa Village We Stop For The Lunch And Go On A Short Hike To Chimi Lhakhang Monastery Also Known As “Temple Of Fertility”. The Origin Of Phalluses As A Symbol Of Fertility Is From Here And It Can Be Seen Throughout Bhutan On House Walls, Roofs And Altars. After The Monastery Visit We Continue Our Ride And Reach Punaka By Evening. - Punakha – Phobjikha Valley Punakha (160kms)
Today After Breakfast We Start Our Drive Towards Trongsa. We Will Visit The Trongsa Dzong Which Is The Largest Dzong Fortress Of Bhutan, It Played A Pivotal Role In The Unification Of Bhutan Between 17th And 19th Century. Then We Continue To The Watch Tower Of Ta Dzong Which Is Now Converted Into A Museum. After The Lunch At Museum Restaurant, We Continue Our Ride To Phobjikha, The Valley Of Black Necked Cranes. It Is The Winter Nesting Grounds Of The Endangered Black Necked Cranes. An Exhaustive And Detailed Information Is Available On The Visit To Crane Centre.
